Greetings! My name is Thomas, well heck, if you don't know that, then you probably shouldn't be here. I have no idea why I am doing this and how long I will be actually keeping up with this, but at the moment, it seems like it might be a good idea. So here is what I intend on doing...
Obviously I am not the first person to go to grad school or move out of Charlotte, it is a pretty common story, but my intentions are to narrate the next two years through my "unique" prospective. This might also be a good way to get some facts and dates out there starting with a rundown of the move.
July 1: Last day of work. (Who the hell quits working when the unemployment level is 9.5% in NC)
July 1: Head to Debordieau with the family for the 4th of July!
July 11: Pack up the car and drive to New Orleans (Need some book on tape suggestions, I am thinking maybe Snooki's autobio?) I will be subletting a friend's apartment for a 2.5 week summer session at school. Hoping to find an apartment during this time.
August 1: Fly back to the Queen City to pack up a Uhaul and drive it back down to New Orleans at some point this week.
August 13: Start orientation.
This is a very boring post, but it is the first, hopefully the rest will have a little more humor. Also, I hoping to use this to catalog my favorite places to eat (and drink) as well as my favorite Po' Boy.
A couple quick things:
I am bad at spelling, and for the purpose of the blog, I really could care less as long as you are able to pick up what I am putting down. Also, I write as I think, my sentence structure sucks, get over it, I don't write like this for work, school, and anything other than a blog.
I am hoping to put pretty honest commentary on here and might occasionally write something that isn't P.C. I figure most the people the might read this are family, you know me, I am who I is.
